SETTING UP SECURE SHELL CLIENT VERSION 3.2.9 TO CONNECT TO BBUS: AN INTERACTIVE TUTORIAL
On BBUS, Telnet Access is Disabled. This is becaause of the fact that the Telnet Protocol, which uses Port 23, is Less Secure then its successor, the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol. BBUS supports BOTH SSH1 and SSH2 protocols at this time. You can use the SSH client to connect to BBUS, and this connection is an encrypted connection. To setup the SSH Client, follow these Steps.
2. Install The SSH Client: Once you click on the EXE file, Allow the client to finish installing itself. If it asks for a reboot, allow it to happen.
3. Connect to BBUS Using the SSH Client: To quickly connect to BBUS, Open the SSH Client and Click the "Quick Connect" Button at the TOP LEFT of the window. You will see a Box come up and it will ask for some information:
Hostname: buddy-baker.us
The BOLDED information should be entered in the HOST NAME and USER NAME Boxes - The Default Athentication Method is set to '[profile Settings]' Press the Connect button. The Client will attempt a connection to the server. Once you successfully connect to the server, you will have the option of saving the connection information in your Profiles folder - So that you can then click the "Profiles" Button and you will see the connection profiles you have saved. I recommend saving the connection as BBUS.
